Meet Sam, a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Restorative Wellness Practitioner who intimately understands the challenges of gut issues, hormone imbalances and body insecurity. Having grown up on a processed food diet, minimal exercise and constantly battling low self-esteem, Sam struggled her whole childhood and early adult years with disruptive gut and hormone symptoms that resulted in a list of diagnoses (IBS, hypothyroidism, anxiety, eczema, gallbladder dysfunction) with nothing but band-aid solutions from conventional medicine.
Realizing she had no choice but to take control of her own body, Sam embarked on a wellness journey that included years of trial and error, trying every fad diet, workout program, and weight loss trick. The realization eventually struck: external changes alone couldn't fix her gut, hormones or, ultimately, how she felt in her body.
This led Sam to enroll in the Nutritional Therapy Association in 2019, not only to better understand her own healing but to empower others also facing similar life-disrupting symptoms. Rooted in the belief that our overall well-being is the result of our 3 foundations of health:
